Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Foil app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Foil is a kitchen-organization app that helps you track expiration dates, scan grocery receipts, get AI recipe suggestions, share a kitchen with household members, and manage shopping. The App is provided by Mirae Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the company that operates Foil.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Foil Premium

Foil offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("Foil Premium") that unlocks the following features:

• Collaborative meal planning
• Household activity log
• Kitchen insights
• Export My Data (CSV)
• Unlimited AI recipes
• Unlimited saved recipes
• Custom AI recipes

Premium features may evolve over time; we'll notify you of material changes.

3.2 Subscription plans and pricing

Pricing is shown in the App at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change over time; any change to your existing subscription's renewal price will be communicated to you in advance per Apple's or Google's policies.

3.3 Free trial

New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged the subscription fee. Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple's App Store or Google Play.

3.4 Billing and renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:

• iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account to sync your data across devices and to use household sharing or Premium features. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate account information

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, functionality, and the Foil name and logo, is owned by Mirae Ventures LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Food expiration dates and recipe suggestions provided by the App are for informational purposes only. Always use your own judgment regarding food safety, allergens, and cooking methods.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MIRAE VENTURES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
